Sunday, September 30th from 6-8PM.
This event is sort of an open Mic night for poets, writers, extroverts, introverts trying to change, etc. If you’ve written something, poem, essay, short piece, song, drama, humor, memoir, whatever and you would like to read it out loud for the group, you are welcome.
No one has to read to be present. I am trying to create a quiet, supportive and welcoming venue for people to try something new. If you are less talented with the creation, but have something that has particularly moved or inspired or amused you that you would like to try to read to the group, bring it on. All I ask is that proper attribution be given for any non-original works. It’s the performance that counts here. This is the other side of the coin that is the popular ‘Silent Reading’ events that have been very successful in the past. Feel free to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy and maybe share.
We are in the Foundry, 3rd floor, 211 N. 14th St. Lincoln.
