6-7-18 Common Root Meeting
Present: Loran, Larry (co-moderator), Lacey (moderator), Andira, Bob (note-taker)
Finance Report – Andira – $5,887.67 presently in treasury. $2,130 pledged in recent Give to Lincoln Day donations which would make $8,017.67 when that is received – the most ever in CR’s treasury. A final tally from G2LD will be reported when that amount is known (matching funds and processing fees must be factored in). $8,017.67 = 28 months of rent at $280/month, or 668 medium size take-out pizzas at $12 ea., or one hell of a multi-band concert at Antelope Park’s Bandshell.
Parking Validation – Bob – Voted Yes to approve giving each CR event attendee one each “Parking Validation Pass” ticket (value $1.25) per event. Good for one hour of free parking in one of The Foundry’s adjacent parking garages. This would not include events in which CR is merely acting as host of a space for another organization or group to hold their meeting or event. Parking Passes would be available “upon request” for CR events.
Voted and approved the purchase of 40 parking vouchers ($50) to start
Quorum Adjustment – Lacey – Voted Yes to approve new Quorum for voting, which will now be:
1 Board Member
1 from the CR Organizing Group
1 “Other attendee”
Previous Quorum was 1 Board Member, 3 Keyholders and 1 “Other attendee”
Cooper Park Event – Lacey – A family-friendly celebration on June 30th, from Noon to 4pm was considered for CR having a booth presence. Lacey will post on the Organizing Group to gauge interest in staffing such a booth. Repair Cafe is already slated to have a presence there and use CR’s canopy since CR hadn’t received invite to attend up until now.
5 Digit Code for The Foundry Printer – Lacey – A 5 digit code was Voted & approved to access The Foundry’s printer. CR gets 500 free copies a year as one of our Foundry benefits.
Moving – Larry – Larry has printed out a list of items previously voted on to keep and move to The Foundry. A list of, mostly large, items to either be sold or given away will be posted by Larry on the Common Root Moving Committee Facebook Group. It was agreed we should keep one vacuum cleaner at the present CR space for final cleanup, and then donate it to Free Saturday.
Pride in the Park – Lacey – July 7th at Trago Park from 10am to 12:30pm. CR will consider being a vendor and Lacey will post on the Organizing Group to gauge volunteer interest.
Next regular Common Root Meeting: Thursday, June 21st from 7:30pm to 9pm.
Next week – Moving Committee Meeting, Thursday June 14th, meet at the O Street space
