—Look Sharp Update – Andira – 10 minutes
Event scheduled for Friday Night at The Commons from 7-9 PM
Andira reported she had seen the presentation materials and it looked like the Event was going to be very good. (Editor’s note, it was.)

—CR becoming Community Partner w/Localz of Lincoln -Larry -10 minutes
Localz of Lincoln is currently trying to build a support base, for Non Profits like ourselves there
is a category called “Community Partner” It sounded to me like a way to strengthen and formalize the relationship Common Root has had with FlyDogz and Only for the Fly for some time now. Andira was concerned to know what exactly any benefit to Common Root would be. Larry will try to have answers to that by the next meeting. Cost to Common Root would be $150/year.

—Fall For Pride – Lacey – 20 minutes
    Tabled until next meeting

    —VERGE anniversary – Lacey – 5 minutes
    Tabled until next meeting

–Values: What is Common Root all about? -Andira -30 minutes

Andira lead a brainstorming session about what the most important values are shared by the Common Root volunteers. Among ideas brought up:
    Free Culture – Space
    Inclusivity
    Community
    Supporting Local Businesses
    Free Thinking
    Arts
    Education
    Skillshares “The Teachin’”
    Activism

Andira pointed out many parallels with Outlinc:
    Empowerment
    Leadership
    Involvement
    Equality
    Creativity

Our Mission Statement was passed around for review.
Jewel suggested it might boil down to “Free Culture, Free Space, Free Thinking”

Bob suggested we might look into renting The Ferguson House here in Lincoln for possible use for events similar to the two Music & Poetry nights we’ve had previously.

Several suggestions were made for possible future Movie Nights including:
    Rain
    Moonlight
    Milk
    Precious
    Hidden Figures
